Russians Forming Lists for “Volunteer Corps” by May 9

The Russians have devised another propaganda campaign to coincide with the anniversary of Nazi Germany’s surrender, aiming to involve young people from the temporarily occupied territories (TOT).

To achieve this, the Kremlin is forming a so-called “International Volunteer Corps.” This initiative is intended to reinforce the narrative of Russia’s exclusive role in the victory of World War II while fabricating the illusion of international support for the current regime in Moscow.

However, due to a lack of willing participants, the Russians are forcibly assembling members from foreign pro-Kremlin movements and agents of influence abroad.

Currently, educational institutions in the TOT have been instructed to involve student activists in the campaign. These so-called “volunteers” will be tasked with distributing the occupiers’ symbol — the St. George’s ribbon — and participating in victory parades.

It is important to note that the Russian regime routinely exploits World War II events to justify its aggression against other countries and to commit new crimes against humanity.

We urge everyone to boycott the enemy’s initiatives — honoring the memory of those who perished in the war does not require coercion.

You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
