The russians are actively marking the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine with monuments to those who introduced the Soviet system and destroyed everything Ukrainian. Moreover, they have created a fake register of so-called cultural heritage sites of “federal” significance.
These “objects” include monuments and memorial complexes called Oath, Glory, and Combat. All of them are intended to “perpetuate” the memory of the Soviet army’s political officers, who were responsible for implementing Stalin’s misanthropic policies not only in the army but also among the local population.
Instead, the occupiers demolished the memorials to the “Victims of Stalinist Repression” and the “Victims of the Holodomor” in Luhansk. They argue that the people’s memory of the crimes of the Kremlin’s executioners is “fake monuments” and that they fulfilled the request of the locals, who were triggered by the monuments to the Holodomor victims and “offended their feelings.”
The National Resistance Center calls on all those who care to join the fight against such enemy collaborators. Anyone can stop the policy of the russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
