“Activists” from the temporarily occupied Hornostayivka district in the Kherson region, who aided the occupation, were awarded certificates during a mass event marking the second anniversary of the so-called “reunification” with Russia. These individuals were involved in organizing and conducting the sham referendum in September 2022.
The Kremlin occupiers regularly hold such events to recognize collaborators. A similar ceremony took place during an event honoring the Russian flag. On that occasion, Dmitry Meshcheryakov, appointed by the occupiers as the director of the “Askania-Nova” nature reserve, also received an “award.”
