The occupiers attacked a residential building in Makiivka to strengthen their propaganda narratives.
The Russians do not shy away from any methods to achieve their goals. On February 8, their troops struck a residential building in the temporarily occupied Makiivka and killed a civilian. Immediately after the strike, Russian propaganda channels such as Zvezda immediately began to disseminate information about the HIMARS attack, including in order to further spread their propaganda narrative to Western countries with the message “Ukrainians use weapons to target civilians.”
At the same time, there are no photos of the wreckage, no confirmation that it was a HIMARS strike that was used. However, the propagandists themselves provide photos of a frontal strike on a house on the side of the temporarily occupied Horlivka.

The Russians have continued their practice of targeting civilians since 2014. One example is the shelling of the Donetskgormash bus stop in Donetsk on January 22, 2015. Russian troops cynically killed 15 people at the public transport stop to blame it on Ukraine. Immediately after the attack, Russian propagandists appeared at the scene and immediately accused our troops of the attack. Even though Ukrainian troops did not have any weapons that could reach Donetsk and cause damage.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
