The Enemy Sells Ukrainian Property and Uses the Proceeds to Fund Its War Against Ukraine

The Russian occupation authorities continue illegally re-registering Ukrainian property in the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) under their fraudulent legislation. This blatant violation of legal rights affects both private citizens and businesses — Ukrainians who were forced to flee their homes due to Russia’s full-scale aggression.

For years, the Kremlin has followed the same criminal pattern: seize property, legalize theft through its own sham “laws,” and then profit from it. A striking example is the temporarily occupied Crimea, where the occupiers have already generated more than 4.8 billion rubles from the sale of illegally appropriated Ukrainian assets.

The cynicism of this scheme is particularly evident in how the stolen property not only brings financial gain to the occupiers but also directly funds Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. The money generated from the illegal sale of Ukrainian homes is funneled into the Russian military budget — used to purchase weapons, supply equipment, and sustain occupation administrations in the TOT. In other words, the enemy is not only destroying Ukraine’s future but is also financing its war crimes with stolen assets.

The National Resistance Center emphasizes that the illegal expropriation of Ukrainian property is yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation. All those involved in this criminal scheme will inevitably be held accountable and face just punishment for their actions. You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
