On the so-called “Defender of the Fatherland” Day, Russian occupiers organized a series of propaganda events in the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Ukraine, following the Kremlin’s long-standing strategy. These events involved children, whom the occupiers are systematically indoctrinating for future participation in Russia’s war of aggression.
In particular, in the TOT of Luhansk region, a joint event was held by members of the Kremlin-backed “Yunarmiya” youth movement and Russian war criminals from the Third Combined Arms Army. Children were forced to stand for hours in the cold, holding an unfurled “Russian Army” banner and expressing gratitude to Russian terrorists for their so-called “protection.”
The occupiers in Ukraine’s TOT openly exploit children to spread their ideology. Their propaganda infiltrates even the youngest classrooms — first-graders are coerced into participating in politicized drawing contests, taught a falsified version of history, and subjected to the forced adoption of values that contradict their national identity.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
