The invaders sent a new administrator of the Russian church’s diocese to the temporarily occupied Skadovsk.
The new head of the ROC branch will be Dmitry Gavrin, a native of the Kalinin region who served in the Tver region before. His first task will be to check his subordinates’ loyalty and report on the state of affairs with religion in the occupied region.
In the paradigm of the Kremlin, churches are one of the foundations of the dictatorship and aim to brainwash, identify the disloyal population, and help the Russian army.
