The occupiers have unveiled a plan to develop the temporarily occupied towns of Shyrokyne and Melekyne, which were destroyed by Russian forces. The plan envisions the creation of “European-level” recreation centers, financed by so-called investors from the Kremlin.
These once-famous Ukrainian resort towns have been reduced to scorched earth. The land, previously owned by local residents and private Ukrainian entrepreneurs, has been “nationalized” by Donetsk collaborators and is now under the control of Russian “businessmen.”
Recently, the occupiers diverted funds that were allegedly allocated for the reconstruction and restoration of homes in Mariupol—destroyed by Russian rockets—to finance the construction of yet another monument to terrorism. A memorial to the so-called “liberators of Donbas,” in the form of a 50-meter-long anchor, is planned for the center of Mariupol.
Everything the Russian occupiers are doing in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is not aimed at improving life for the people but serves their own political and economic interests.
