The National Resistance Center has prepared an overview of the propaganda farce called “elections” in the temporarily occupied territories.
In early September, Russia held illegitimate “elections” in the TOT of Ukraine in order to legitimize its control over the occupied territories.
The “elections” in Russia are not a tool for changing the government, they are purely demonstrative and are intended for propaganda purposes.
The main task of the “elections” in the TOT was to create a picture of a high turnout, and thus support for the occupation by the local population.
The National Resistance Center has prepared an overview of the “election process” in order to highlight the systematic violations of human rights by Russia, the lack of any legitimacy of the “expression of will” and the forced nature of the “voting”.
