Russia continues to pursue a policy of passporting temporarily occupied regions and offers money for obtaining a passport.
The Russians promise residents of the temporarily occupied territory “residential certificates” in various regions of the Russian Federation and 100,000 rubles for obtaining a passport. In this way, Russia not only passports the region, but also hopes to take out Ukrainians and assimilate them.
At the same time, such a policy is aimed at changing the demographic composition of the population, because instead of the deported Ukrainians, Russians are brought in from the Russian Federation.
Since the occupation, 157,000 Russians have been brought to Sevastopol.
