The other day, the occupation Gauleiter of Horlivka, Ivan Prychko, announced that he intends to erect a propaganda stele in the front-line town. The location is currently being negotiated.
Prykhodko continues to play his role as a local propagandist who must divert the population’s attention from everyday problems. At a time when the Kremlin is exterminating the civilian population on the TOT by mobilizing them into the ranks of the occupying army, the Gauleiter promises to replace them with monuments.
Dictator Putin continues the Soviet practice of giving special awards to cities. On November 15, 2022, he issued a decree on awarding the “city of military glory” Horlivka with the “honorary title of the Russian Federation” — “city of labor valor”.
What does this title give the city? Nothing at all. This is a typical propaganda gesture to increase Putin’s vanity. The coat of arms of the Russian Federation, the number, and date of the decree, and the surname of the dictator of the Russian Federation are placed on the ceiling and a typical Soviet marking of space with monuments.
Earlier, Ivan Prychko said that Denis Pushylin, head of the TOT of Donetsk region, decided to join the cities of Toretsk and New York to Horlivka with his so-called “decree”. Even though these cities are controlled by the Defense Forces of Ukraine and are currently part of the Bakhmut Community under Ukrainian legislation.
Such actions of the occupiers testify to their thirst for further encroachment of Ukrainian territories and the corresponding marking of them as specifically Russian lands.
