“This is not just a person, this is the enemy. Killing the enemy is not a sin.” This is the propaganda narrative that children are being indoctrinated with in schools in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. These are the lessons of so-called patriotism that the occupation administrations use to engage “special military operations” militants.
In addition to the participants of the war against Ukraine, Moscow priests launched a large-scale “serving the fatherland” campaign in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region. In Melitopol, “priests” who are also members of the Russian Guard are urging children to join the Russian army.
The purpose of such lessons is to form loyalty to Russian aggression among young people and create a distorted view of war as something “right” and justified. Educating children in this way grossly violates international standards of education and human rights, as the occupiers deliberately distort moral principles and normalize violence.
Anyone can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
