The occupiers hide the real scale of financial problems in the TOT

For example, the Russian occupation administration in the annexed Crimea has been promoting statements about a reduction in the number of cases of counterfeiting Russian rubles in 2024. However, this information is yet another manipulation, as in fact the level of financial crime on the peninsula is growing.

According to the National Resistance Center, the occupation authorities themselves “cover” counterfeiting schemes, using them to implement their shadow operations. This money is used to pay financial support to representatives of the Russian occupation forces, bribe collaborators, and finance the so-called shadow economy, including businesses controlled by representatives of the Russian occupation forces.

It should be noted that the international isolation of Crimea leads to a decrease in business opportunities, increased unemployment and loss of confidence in the financial system. This creates an ideal environment for new shadow financial schemes to flourish. Another reason for the aggravation of this situation is that Russian banks are avoiding working in the annexed territory due to international sanctions. This has created a cash shortage that is being filled by illegal financial schemes.

The National Resistance Center emphasizes that the financial chaos in the annexed peninsula is one of the proofs of the complete failure of the occupation regime. Counterfeiting money has become part of the system they created but cannot control. This is another proof that the future of Crimea is in an independent Ukraine.

You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
