The Kremlin is starting to play the mobilization card within the campaign for the “acceptance” of captured regions into the Russian Federation through the so-called referendum.
The unfortunate position of the Russian army in several directions in Ukraine requires solutions from Moscow. Therefore, the occupiers announced plans to hold “referendums” this weekend in all captured territories.
In the sick imagination of the occupiers, this will give them the right to consider the captured lands as Russian, and therefore an attack on them will be a reason for mobilization or the use of nuclear weapons. The chief Gauleiter of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, has already announced that it will be necessary to create “volunteer battalions”. Taking into account the experience of the “LPR” and “DPR”, these battalions will not be voluntary. In fact, the Russians simply plan to recruit holders of Russian passports.
At the same time, the State Duma introduced the concepts of “mobilization”, “martial law” and “wartime” into the Criminal Code. According to the innovations, voluntary surrender will be punishable by up to 10 years in prison. They also increased the terms for voluntarily leaving the unit, and for refusing to participate in hostilities, they will be punished with 3 years in prison. In fact, Moscow is preparing a legal basis for mobilization. “Referendums” and passporting are intended to introduce TOT into the Russian legal field.
Therefore, Ukraine’s Resistance Center calls on the residents of the region to leave the territories and not become a human resource for the enemy. We will return home after the victory!
