The Ukrainian underground continues to operate in the temporarily occupied territories, while the Russians are busy kidnapping Ukrainian children. A fresh overview of the main news of the week on TOT from the Center of National Resistance – next.
Resistance in the occupied territories does not abate
In the temporarily occupied territories, explosions continue to resound near the homes of the traitors. So, on October 31, an explosion occurred in Berdyansk, on Zemska Street, as a result of which one person was injured. We are talking about Pavlo Ishchuk, who previously worked as a journalist and spokesman for two mayors of the city.
With the occupation of the city, he became the self-proclaimed deputy mayor for information activities. Within his powers, he is responsible for propaganda in the city. The collaborator was hospitalized in serious condition.
The underground continues to operate in Crimea as well. Thus, as part of the successful counteroffensive activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the local authorities of the Crimean Peninsula began preparing for new realities. In particular, the Sevastopol City Council is introducing discounted travel for partisans and servicemen of the Armed Forces.
In response, the Russians intensified repression within the so-called Putin’s decree on the introduction of “martial law” in the temporarily occupied territories. The Kremlin has officially introduced total censorship in territories where the occupiers cannot feel safe.
Now the occupiers walk the streets of temporarily occupied cities and selectively check the phones of local residents. They check browser history and Telegram and Viber channel subscriptions. The occupiers are also interested in whether a VPN is installed on the phone to bypass the blocking of Ukrainian sites.
Meanwhile, TOT residents refuse to take a Russian passport. Trying to mislead people, last month the occupiers’ protégés actively spread the nonsense that from October 30 Ukrainian citizens and stateless persons on the TOT will be officially recognized by the Kremlin as “citizens” of the Russian Federation. This was intended to convince the citizens of Ukraine that there is no way out and force them to come to terms with the current state of affairs.
The occupiers steal Ukrainian children and loot local property
The occupiers take children from boarding schools and do not return them to the Ukrainian side. At the same time, it should be noted that not all children in such institutions are orphans, and some became orphans due to the killing of their parents by the occupiers. It has only been officially established that the Russian Federation forcibly deported about 10,000 Ukrainian children from the occupied territories.
However, according to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, the forcible transfer of children from one ethnic group to another constitutes genocide. Children are deliberately taken to remote areas of the Russian Federation. In particular, to the Leningrad, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, and Tyumen regions.
But it is not only about orphans. Children are used as hostages to force their parents to leave TOT. Thus, Russian doctors sent to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine started a campaign of “medical examination” of children. Occupiers submit this information as a search for pathologies in minors.
And in case of detection of diseases, they send them for treatment to remote regions of the Russian Federation, but do not return them back. In order to pick up a child from “treatment”, it is necessary to go to the appropriate city on the territory of the Russian Federation. After that, you can’t go back, because “martial law” is at TOT.
