The Russian airline “I Fly” operates flights for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and delivers mobilized personnel to Rostov.
According to the Ukrainian National Resistance Center, the Russian Ministry of Defense continues to use civilian airlines for military purposes. In particular, the airline “Ya lechu” operates special flights from Novosibirsk to Rostov. Subsequently, personnel are sent to Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense systematically uses civilian airlines by subsidizing them. After a series of sanctions were imposed, Russian airlines suffered significant financial losses. Therefore, airline owners who are close to the government receive orders from the Defense Ministry to make some money.
The owner of I Fly Airlines is Alexander Burtin, who is also a co-founder and co-owner of the Russian travel company Tez Tour. The airline’s CEO is Kirill Romanovsky.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine announced suspicion to the head of Rosaviation Alexander Neradko, who provided civilian aircraft to transfer Russian military to the front. Also, the CEO of Ural Airlines, Sergei Skuratov, who provided access to the company’s aircraft for the Russian Ministry of Defense.
