6100 sets of history textbooks written in the Kremlin will be purchased for technical schools and colleges in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region. For this purpose, the collaborators plan to spend almost 7 million Russian rubles.
The process of creating a “new history” was undertaken by a well-known collaborator, former Russian Minister of Education and Putin’s advisor, Vladimir Medinsky. The same Medinsky who, immediately after the occupation of Crimea, rewrote the history of the peninsula in the perspective the Kremlin needed.
The new textbooks describe all the current “political processes” in the pseudo-republic, and they also include a section on the “reunification” of the Kremlin-occupied regions of Ukraine with Russia and the glorification of the participants in the “svo”.
The policy of rewriting history is aimed at erasing the Ukrainian national identity and raising a new generation that will not perceive Ukraine as a separate state, but instead consider it part of Russia. The occupiers realize that control over the future begins with control over the minds of children.
The National Resistance Center calls for resistance to such actions of the invaders. You can do this safely for yourself and your loved ones, for example, by continuing your children’s education in Ukrainian schools online.
The National Resistance Centre calls for reporting collaborators so that each of them does not escape punishment for crimes against humanity. Anyone can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
