The Kremlin instructed the Russian Federation’s border guard service to strengthen the counter-intelligence regime at the administrative border of the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the TOT of the Kherson region.
Special attention is paid to protecting road and railway bridges between the Chongar and Crimean peninsulas. This direction supports their troops in the TOT of Crimea and logistics support in the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
After occupying the left bank of the Kherson region, the enemy did not remove the checkpoint from the administrative border between Crimea and the Kherson region. These objects were used by the Russian special services to carry out “filtration measures” of the civilian population. They additionally equipped the Chongar checkpoint with an X-Ray system for scanning and monitoring cars. Cars with license plates of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, both Ukraine and Russia-issued, are carefully inspected.
