The occupiers are violating International Humanitarian Law by forcibly recruiting Ukrainian citizens to perform “military service” in the ranks of the enemy army.
According to the Ukrainian underground in the temporarily occupied territories, about 250 residents of the Donetsk region were “conscripted” to continue their “military service” in the occupation forces.
During the “mobilization” activities, the occupiers issued “mobilization plans” to enterprises in the TOT, indicating the number of people they should send to serve in the Russian occupation army. In the event of non-compliance with such plans, the occupiers threaten to replace the management of these enterprises with those who will comply with similar orders on time and in full.
We remind you that the involvement of residents of the TOT of Ukraine in the so-called “military service” in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces is a violation of Article 51 of the Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, as the occupying power has no right to compel protected persons to serve in its armed forces or other formations.
The National Resistance Centre informs that if you or your friends and relatives live in the TOT or have been deported to Russia, the Russians may use you in the war against Ukraine by forcibly mobilizing you.

We urge internally displaced persons and residents of the frontline areas, those who have relatives in the TOT, to share this information. It’s not too late to surrender to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and stop committing war crimes.
